Galen Huck Growing up in Kansas, Galen and Mary Kay both grew up in farming and ranching families, planning to raise a family on a ranch 30 miles from the nearest town. Five years after graduating from Kansas State University, they found themselves at Dallas Seminary studying for the ministry. They were in Cheyenne from 1993 to 1997 helping launch Cheyenne Hills Church before stepping out again to begin Rock Creek Church in Louisville, Colorado. Rock Creek Church also sent out a team to begin a new church called The Ridge, in Thornton, Colorado before making Cheyenne Hills Church grandparents! Now ten years later the Hucks have been called back to Cheyenne where they began their professional ministry journey. They have two grown children. Corey is a mechanical engineer major and plays football for the Orediggers at the Colorado School of Mines. Shaelee attends the University of Colorado majoring in political science and foreign affairs.

Roger Whitmore Roger is the husband of his wonderful wife Laura and dad to three precious kids, Taylor 16, Madelyn and Tanner 10. He is a transplant from Colorado where he served in various churches for over 18 years. He became the Associate Pastor at Cheyenne Hills in November of 2008. He is excited about the ministry opportunities here at Cheyenne Hills and looks forward to working closely with the staff and church family to see God do amazing things in reaching Cheyenne and beyond.

Ken Malm Ken Malm and his wife, Linda, are charter members of Cheyenne Hills and both have served in numerous capacities over the years. Ken has served as Treasurer, Trustee, Elder, Small Group Leader, Benevolence Coordinator, Mission’s team member, and in other capacities. All of these have prepared him well for the role of Executive Director. Ken is the owner of Financial Services Center, a business offering financial planning, accounting, and tax preparation services. He also serves on boards at the Converge Rocky Mountain and Converge Worldwide-Baptist General Conference.

Stephanie Snow Stephanie and her family (husband Bill, children Bryce & Emma) have been apart of CHC since 2001. She joined the staff team in 2002 as the Early Childhood Director (infants- pre-K) and in September 2006 her position became full-time as the Children’s Director (infants-5th grade). To introduce young children to Jesus Christ is a great honor and responsibility. She is grateful yet, humbled by the opportunity she has to experience and be a part of a child’s spiritual walk. Her greatest desire is that every child who enters CHC, experience His great love through the Children’s Ministry team; and in His timing choose to follow Him.

Bob Damey Bob joined the staff of Cheyenne Hills in January 2009 as Worship Arts Director. Although Bob has been leading worship for over 15 years, this is his first full-time worship ministry position. He feels so blessed to have the opportunity to serve the Lord with his talents in Wyoming and looks forward to seeing God work at CHC. Bob and his wife, April, are Colorado natives and will always feel an attachment to the beautiful Rocky Mountains as well as being avid Broncos fans. Together they have three beautiful children; Elijah, Noah and Selah.

Julie Exstrom Julie has joined our staff team to keep people connected through the Connections series classes and welcome first time visitors. Each week, Julie follows up on communications cards to ensure people are receiving needed information. Julie and her family (husband Mike, and children Eric, Darin and Melanie) have been a part of CHC since 1993.

Holly Stevenson Holly and her family have attended CHC since 1999. Holly has enjoyed volunteering where needed. Because of her love for the stage she has focused on the drama team and is currently the Drama Team Ministry Leader. Holly joined the CHC programming team in 2003. In 2007 she became a part-time member of the staff at CHC as the Programming Coordinator where she brings her energy and positive attitude to help weekend services run smoothly and help inspire the listeners to live faith filled lives. Holly and Buck have a son, Owen, who brings lots of joy and laughter to their home. Holly has a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Wyoming in Fashion & Interior Merchandising. Holly feels her job at CHC is the greatest as it allows her time for her family and friends and an opportunity to be active in her church.

Julie Fogg Julie, her husband Kory, and children Gracie and Daniel have attended CHC since 2000. She and Kory are graduates of Burns High School and she holds degrees in special and elementary education from the University of Wyoming. Julie has led the Mothers of Preschoolers (MOPS) group at CHC and currently serves as the Council Coordinator for the Wyoming MOPS groups. She was hired in 2007 as part-time staff to lead the First Impressions Ministries (Ushers & Greeters Team, Hospitality Team, Guest Services Team, and the Medical Response Team). She is passionate about providing a welcoming atmosphere to all guests and providing them the opportunity to know God’s love in a tangible way.

Shanna Housman Shanna joined CHC full-time in October 2009 to direct the Jr. and Sr. High Student Ministries. She holds a BS from the University of California-Davis in Human Development and brings over 20 years of ministry experience working with students in various capacities including outreach, discipleship, leadership development, training and equipping. Shanna loves creating authentic opportunities for students to encounter the truth of Jesus in relevant, interesting and fun environments. She thrives on spending time with students right where they are and walking alongside them as they journey in their relationship with Christ. Prior to joining the staff at CHC, Shanna served with her husband Rob on staff with Young Life. They and their 3 daughters moved to Cheyenne in the summer of 2005. They are very thankful for the opportunity to join with God as he works in the lives of kids and families in the Cheyenne Hills faith community and the city of Cheyenne as a whole.

Sandy Johnson Sandy and her family relocated to Cheyenne from Las Vegas in September of 2006. Her family became CHC members in 2007. Sandy and her husband Jay both share a heart for children’s ministry and started teaching in the toddler's room together. With 5 of their own children it was a perfect fit. Sandy has been involved in missions, youth, and children’s ministry for over 10 years. With a heart for all of God's children, Sandy continues to allow God to lead her. Sandy is also taking part in the Ugandan mission field and looks forward to each opportunity God will bring to serve His people, both here and abroad.

Vickie Schinzel Vickie and Kevin have been a part of CHC from the beginning. She has volunteered in many ministry areas over the years and brings a great deal of experience that helps her understand and support the various ministries of the church. Vickie also has a strong business and financial background and was elected as the Church Clerk for 2007. |
